Information about the next rom
Long time since the latest rom(exactly 2 weeks). Since then there where no sys leaks.
Since it didn't feel right to have the same rom for such a long time I start working on a newer rom. No ETA. for this rom at the moment.
I hope to release this rom when a new sys arrives but if that will really take this long I may just release a new rom without a new sys.
I would like to give you guys a sneak peek of what you can expect in the next rom.
Here's a changelog. Remember that this changelog isn't final and could be different from the rom that is going to be released.
- sys: 23518(Branche: COM5)(Timebomb fixed): Office 2010, Threaded email
- relaxion sound in rings folder now(windows)(This is my favorite alarm sound
and it doesn't work in wm alarm if not in this folder)
- removed g-alarm(Isn't completely compatible and build in alarm is good enough
these days)
- quickmenu added(tap left corner on top)
- x2 taskmanager added
- showcase removed
- Homescreen customizer 1.5 added instead of chome
- Nuesip added
- Sipchange removed(replaced with nuesip since that's a bit faster)
- Icalparse updated to 0.9.5
- Callfirewall removed(I never used this app and didn't really like it)
- Opera Mobile 10 updated to Beta 2u
- Tilewave panel updated to TileWave_091105_034_R1367
- Old HF Clear compatible with 23518 added
I think this changelog doesn't need any explanation right(Incase there are questions feel free to make a comment).
Since i'm not going to release this rom now and hope to get a new sys to include in this rom soon. I would like to ask you users a question.
What do you like in the roms and must stay and what would you like to see changed?
I'm not going to include more apps in the clean rom so you don't have to ask for that. I'm also not going to make a manila(sense) rom.
I hope I will get some feedback from this changelog and get a new sys leak soon so I can release this new rom.
Just incase you are wondering why showase has been removed. It's because it gives problems with some apps etc. The x2 taskmanager is working fine(this is the one that has been modified for wm 6.5.3). Quickmenu also got a taskmanager in it and can be accessed from everywhere in the rom. You can also close apps immediately with the x2 taskmanager by holding the right corner(there is no icon but just hold it on the clock)

Vroeg me net af hoe het stond met een nieuwe ROM en toen was dit bericht net geplaatst :P Maarre ik ben benieuwd naar die nieuwe taskmanager. Vond Showcase wel relaxt, maar werkte soms idd niet echt lekker.

Fijn dat je niet bent gestopt na je goede 4.001-rom :D Altijd leuk om te weten dat je bezig bent met een nieuwe rom Duimpjes omhoog

Since I read your statement about you leave the Clean Rom clean, all sounds PERFECT to me!!! The only thing I look forward is, that you will wait until a new 28xxx (!) is leaked. I don't like this 23xxx and would not use that as I do not use it currently either. Hearing that you finally removed this showcase is great news too. Let's cross fingers that a new sys is coming out (leaked)...like tomorrow... ;-)

Thanks all for the fast comments. @tk: I tried that a while ago but somehow it just didn't work and from the other side since videos are not working I don't think it's really nice to have in the rom. @michael: You're right but I prefere the threaded email and office 2010 from COM5 above the WMD branche. I hope they will intergrate the office and threaded email in WMD branche since that would be the perfect sys. I already tried to make a hybrid myself but I couldn't even create an email account anymore so wasn't really what I want:P

6.5.3 ROMs have a new default keyboard from Microsoft. Would it be possible to replace the fingerkeyboard with the new one provided by MS as default in the new builds?

I already looked into that. The keyboard isn't a new default keyboard but just a keyboard for arabian input. So not really something for this rom. From the other side it didn't even show up when I cooked it in

Christian, Can I request you to leave G-Alarm in the new build and the ones that follow? I have issues with the built in alarm being too quiet.
