New Christian's Rom 4.800 And Special 2
New roms are coming. First 4.800 will be released soon. Changelog is here:
- new sys: 23545(Branche: COM5)(Timebomb fixed):
- Arkswitch updated to 1.1.2
There will also be a special rom release. It's based on the latest COM2 sys with the old UI(start button on the left uppor corner).
This rom is on request from a few people. Hope you guys like it!
Release notes of special rom V2:
This is a special one time release again! This time it's based on the newest old style windows mobile 6.5.0 sys. This build got still the start button in the upper left corner.For the rest it's a normal Full and Clean rom in Dutch and English based on the 4.8 rom just the sys has been changed with one with the old UI.
This is an one time release and will not be updated with every next release. It's released because I got many requests last months about releasing such a rom. So here it is!
Have fun with it!
I hope you will enjoy the new roms and give as much feedback as possible to create even better roms!

I read at the xd forum that this com5 branch is stuck for quite a while now with 'old' os! The only thing ms is developing in this branch is the office 2010. Is that correct? Would be a shame to have flashing 'old os' all the time ;-) Looking forward to the clean rom .... Regards!

@michael: no it's office 2010 and threaded email and speed I guess. But there are so many branches this day. I can't use them all. COM5 is the only wm 6.5.5 so it's just the way you look at the builds for the newest one.

Dear Christian, I have been using your releases but i have noticed in my case that the Signal strength decreases a lot and sometimes i loose communication. my other point is related to MMS ... i not being able to receive or send MMS messages ... do you believe that is something to do with the releases ??? or is the Phone ??? by the way i am in Angola and my GSM provider is called UNITEL and they support MMS. Currently using release 4.500

Hi, if your signal strenght was better on the stock rom then I might have a solution for you. If you haven't upgrade your radio then maybe the rilphone.dll is different in this rom.(Incase you upgraded your radio just flash the old radio back). You can simply change this rilphone.dll. You just need the one you had before. Check xda for more information about this. About mms, I don't have a solution for this sorry. Don't use mms myself btw but will look into it maybe I can find something and fix it.

Don't know about this one, the x44 was okay but this x45 now, my phone froze a few times, seems unstable and several time it woke up with a white screen. Nothing worked anymore. So here we had quite a few restarts and battery removals so far. Regards

@michael: hmm, i'm using the x47 at the moment but don't think it's worth a new rom since it's almost the same.

Well, from x45 to 47 is at least more then 44-45. And for me would be probably better since this unstable behaviour. Do you have time and the will to make the x47? Would be great Christian ;-)

Hey, ik ga je ROM maar weer is proberen, kijken of er veel verschil is (wat ik niet echt denk). Al die TF3D ROMs zijn sloom en battery life is behoorlijk laag. Bij jou rom was het nog wel redelijk maar bij 6.1 ROMs was het hoog. Even een [REQ] dan maar, wil jij voor mij is een 6.1 ROM maken? (Als het kan met TF3D, zonder mag ook).

Ok,.. een beetje raar misschien... Mijn headset modus gaat steeds vanzelf aan op willekeurige momenten. Ik kan hem dan ook niet uitschakelen. Dat doet ie ook weer vanzelf. Ook doen sommige knoppen het niet op mijn toetsenbord. Ik dacht dat ik er misschien iets op had laten vallen, maar ik weet nog dat toen ik 4.711 installeerde ik dit niet had. Ik heb dit probleem weleens eerder gehad met één van je eerdere roms, maar heb geen idee hoe dit komt ! Ideën ?

@michael: will be released soon but i'm to busy at the moment @wesjeex: nee, geen wm 6.1 rom. Ik ehb wel een wm 6.5.0 uitgebracht maar geen 6.1 op het moment en al helemaal geen manila(tf3d) rom. @ponkie: de headset problemen en toetsenbord zijn hardware problemen zo ver ik weet. Ik heb het headset probleem ook gehad en me telefoon opgestuurd en het was opgelost

Bij mij blijft me telefoon vaak aangeven dat er nog een headset is aangesloten, terwijl ik die al los heb gehaald. Ik los dit altijd op door in dat gat te poeren met me stokje en dan doet ie het weer.

Dit komt omdat dit eigenlijk een hardware probleem is. Er zit een soort schakelaartje in de headset socket die terug moet gaan zodra je de headset eruit haalt en zou er niet vanzelf in mogen gaan maar dit gaat dus bij sommige telefoons nogal eens mis. Het is op te lossen door hem op te sturen en de aansluiting te laten vervangen. Mja ik zou eerlijk gezegd gewoon wachten totdat die er helemaal niet meer uit gaat.
